Conference and Banqueting facilities at new country house hotel and spa, Coworth Park

28 April 2010 Coworth Park offers a choice of conference and banqueting facilities to cater from discreet meetings to lavish weddings and receptions.

The 70-room hotel, set in over 240 acres of stunning Royal Berkshire parkland is just 45 minutes by car from Mayfair and will be closer to London than other five-star country house hotels. Coworth Park is also a short 20 minutes taxi ride from Heathrow, making it ideal for international one-day business meetings.

Coworth Park will comprise of a beautiful Georgian Manor House where 30 of the bedrooms and suites are located as well as its gastronomic restaurant and bar. A further 40 rooms and suites will be in the adjacent converted stables and cottages along with an informal brasserie-style restaurant with outdoor terrace. Highly acclaimed, Michelin-starred chef, John Campbell has recently been appointed as Director of Cuisine and Food and Beverage at Coworth Park and in his role will oversee catering for conference and banqueting facilities.

Zoe Jenkins, Operations Director for Coworth Park said: “Coworth Park is going to set a new benchmark in the UK for corporate retreats, conferences, weddings and events. The fact that we are so close to London and Heathrow yet hidden away in 240 acres of the most stunning Berkshire countryside is a real draw and we are already seeing tremendous interest in the property for when it opens next Summer.”

There are 3 private event rooms situated within the Georgian Manor House that include:

The Oak Room – situated on the ground floor The Oak Room is classical in design with Georgian skirting and cornicing, whilst a pair of hanging sculptures of copper oak leaves add a striking touch. The Oak Room can hold up to 40 people for a sit down dinner or 70 for a cocktail reception and 50 for theatre-style.

The Oval Room – on the lower ground floor the Oval Room benefits from natural daylight and has its own private terrace which extends out to the garden beyond. The design is contemporary based on contours and colours from the surrounding landscape whilst a porcelain chandelier completes the room. There is capacity for up to 90 people for a sit-down dinner or 150 for a cocktail reception and 130 theatre-style.

The Garden Room is also located on the lower ground floor and enjoys natural daylight.  It too has its own private patio with a stone staircase leading to the terraced gardens. With its soft-gold palette and chandelier inspired by a dandelion flower The Garden Room is a charming and relaxing space. This room can hold up to 80 people for a sit down dinner, 150 for cocktail reception and 120 for theatre-style.

Beyond the main Manor House there is a further private event room, The Tower House located next to the stables and Barn restaurant. With its own small balcony The Tower House has fabulous views overlooking the lake and stream and can hold up to 40 for a sit-down dinner, 70 for a cocktail reception and 40 theatre-style. Additionally there is a small breakout room in the turret, ideal for small meetings.

In addition to these private event rooms Coworth Park will have its own marquee to host weddings and receptions for up to 250 people. Guests will approach the marquee via a floodlit Lime avenue and the marquee itself is nestled amongst centuries-old trees and enjoys a stunning view across the sunken gardens and meadow.

With its own helicopter pad and security Coworth Park will appeal to high profile political, corporate and diplomatic clients and with easy access from Heathrow and London it is certain to become the venue of choice for corporate hospitality, events and meetings.

Further attractions on the Coworth Park estate include an eco-luxury Spa with 8 treatment rooms (including 2 doubles) and indoor swimming pool, an Equestrian centre with stabling for up to 40 horses, two polo fields, pitch and putt golf, archery (on request) whilst Windsor Castle, Ascot Racecourse, Wentworth Championship Golf course and Legoland are all nearby.
